The Green Ring is one of the most popular cycling and hiking trails in the Hannover region, stretching over a distance of 160 kilometers that traverses nine different landscapes and connects ten towns and municipalities. A special signage system featuring blue-painted objects such as fences and benches helps cyclists and hikers navigate the terrain and invites them to pause and enjoy the surroundings. The route is divided into ten tour sections, which are well connected to public transportation and can be customized or cycled in stages.
Highlights
- On your journey through the region, you will discover Isernhagen, Langenhagen, Laatzen, Hemmingen, Seelze, Garbsen, Sehnde, Ronnenberg, and Gehrden.
